BIO
Shanley Jorge-Elde is a Paris-born, African, movement artist, singer, model and writer. She has recently graduated from London Contemporary Dance School with a First Class Bachelors degree and has been working freelance as a performer, choreographer and movement director in theatre, film, fashion, music and TV.
Her credentials include individuals and companies such as Raye, Shae Universe, Emeli Sande, Amazon, Burberry, Vogue and ITV.
Jorge-Elde's artistic interests include, finding the sweet spot between heels technique and contemporary dance as femininity and the various ways it can be expressed and twisted shows up as a common themes in her newest works.
Long term, Jorge-Elde is interested in creating spaces in which movement can be used as a method of rehabilitation for victims of domestic violence, but also for anyone searching for a way back to themselves.
